On Friday, September 13, walkways on and off Main Street will explode with color during the 10th annual Northampton Chalk Art Festival! Come see professional artists and talented amateurs creating their own unique designs from 10am to 4pm, and view completed work in the evening while enjoying Northampton’s monthly Arts Night Out gallery walk from 5-8pm. Cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100 will be awarded by a panel of judges for the top three creations, and presented by the Mayor on the steps of City Hall at 5pm. The public is also invited to an informal family free draw from 5-7pm behind Thornes Marketplace in the Tuesday Market spot. Plenty of sidewalk chalk will be on hand for anyone who wants to take part in the activity!
