Join us for a leisurely amble around the Forbes Library’s historic grounds with naturalist and Historic Northampton’s co-director Laurie Sanders . We’ll meet in front of the library on Wednesday, May 8 at 6 PM to explore the vegetation, geology and animal life that surrounds the Forbes Library. The rain date will be the following Wednesday, May 15.
Nicknamed “Castle on the Hill”, Forbes Library opened in 1894 and is celebrating its 125th anniversary. The property has undergone many changes both before and since this time. Attend our amble and learn about this historic property that was once home to Aaron Cook, Northampton’s noted 17th century wolf hunter.
This program is free and open to the public. Forbes Library is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. For questions about accessibility or to request accommodations please contact Molly Moss at 413-587-1017 or info@forbeslibrary.org.
