~~ IT’S AN 8-BIT HALLOWEEN @ THE BOM! ~~

COSTUME CONTEST: Dress up as your favorite video game character! The winner will be determined after Joystick’s set, and will be awarded a special surprise prize! It’s one-of-a-kind!

OCTOBER has been off the hook! We have had: eerie music, horrific live art, costumes, decorations, tarot card and palm readers, scary stories, hot cider, candy, and so much more! This month we honor the mystical nature of our world, and the theater that goes along with it. Don’t miss your last chance for the October festivities!

Storyman Dan (Springfield Storytellers) starts off the night with a SPOOKY TALE that will leave you shivering in your boots…

TAROT THIS WEEK BY: Threshold Academy
Tarot Poems is both a tarot reading and a spontaneous poem written during the reading as a divination token to help you hold the messages of the cards. Zoe and Britt have been tarot practitioners for over a decade. They are poets with many publications between them. Zoe is the founder of Threshold Academy, a future bookstore and current alternative education space. We believe in the power of the cards and their interpretation as a way to guide us all and explore our own internal landscapes and that which is difficult to illuminate on our own. Poetry is the manifestation of this magic, a way to carry the magic with you into yourself, your home, to fold up and put in your pocket, to burn or bury or give to a friend or lover. Use it to use your own magic.

~~~~~~
We hope you’ll join us in supporting another incredible night of great music, art, and community… Come BE AMAZING this and every Tuesday night, and experience the event that’s become so much more than an open mic!
— — — ART — — —
Our ever-growing collective art experience hosts weekly FEATURED ARTISTS in the back lounge who display and sell their art! Come see them create right in front of your own eyes!
— Up this week: Lisa Betournay ART (skeletal manifestations of truth)
“I follow my heart, it’s the only way I feel comfortable in my own skin. Who am I? I am the equivalent of the love I put into the world, of what I can create and give to the world, and I am nothing more. What am I? I am only my imagination, maybe some sort of messenger giving heart, mind, and creativity a physical body with paint and canvas, I am nothing more, I think that is what every true artist is, a messenger to remind us of our complex and beautiful lost humanity. I am nothing, and I am no one.”
** Are you an artist and want to participate? — Message Max or the night’s host and coordinator, Tobey Sol LaRoche, for details! **
