Dyado:
Dyado(pronounced dee-yah-dough) is the project of east coast songwriters Louisa Stancioff and Matt Lohan. The two are cousins who reconnected later in life, and bonded over playing classic country, and writing songs. Together, they have crafted a hazy, film-grain sound that phases between dreamy California beach days, and fall fields drenched in fog. Dyado is currently touring with fellow Asheville band Southern Pine in support of their new release Moonlighting.

Moonlighting is a collaborative collection of six original songs in their elemental form by Asheville bands Dyado and Southern Pine. Louisa Stancioff and Matt Lohan of Dyado, and Zack Kardon of Southern Pine captured live performances in full takes onto a cassette 4-track in a small back house in West Asheville. The group helped engineer each other’s sessions, and each musician lent their own bit of flavor to every song in the form of a few choice overdubs of electric guitar, piano, percussion, and harmonies. The project was then mixed directly from the analog console, a process seldom seen in today’s digitally dominated audio world. Moonlighting opens with Kardon’s gorgeous Meaning to the Meaningless, parting thoughts on a relationship ending in the form of an offering a song. Lohan’s lilting Tag’s and Title holds the midway point with a testament to a past relationship, told with dark undertones of a southern gothic motif. The album closes with Stancioff’s Do You Just Want Me (To Love You) a ballad drenched in cavernous reverb, vocal overdrive, and tape hiss, questioning the individual motives of two partners in a struggle to find the meaning of their relationship. Dyado and Southern Pine have decided not to release this album to digital streaming services right away, but it will be available for sale on their upcoming east coast tour, as well as on Bandcamp.

Dyado is also currently working their second full length album with producer Malachi DeLorenzo, whose work includes “The Way We Move” and “Lost at Last” by Langhorne Slim, and the noteworthy “Mariachi Static” by Izaak Opatz.

Sodada:
Inspired by punk DIY energy, jazz modality and bringing a fresh perspective to contemporary indie rock, Sodada likes to push boundaries and blur definitions – whether that’s in music, visual art, gender, or belief systems.

Sodada’s core members/songwriters Hannah Rose and Andy C have been working on music together since 2012.

Together as Sodada, they have self-recorded and produced 3 full bodies of work (“If You Woke Me” in 2016 and “Sunshine EP” in 2017). Since 2017, the duo have been writing, arranging, recording and producing their largest undertaking yet: a 12-track album to be released May 11, 2019.

Old Flame:
Old Flame is born of the Western-MA DIY scene, and spins gritty honey rasp vocals into an art rock nostalgia with a shoegaze afterglow

“Retro & brand new. Toes the line of vintage & psych rock. Addictively good.”
