Featuring The Massachusetts Walking TourVernon Valiquette & Liam Hurley, on the west lawn at Forbes Library, and in Pulaski Park with NCMC Band and Western Mass. Fiddle Orchestra, plus: AEIOUkes at both locations!

Make Music Day is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 800 cities in 120 countries. Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music Day is open to anyone who wants to take part.

Free performances and participatory music-making gatherings will take place all day in Pulaski Park and the Forbes Library lawn.

1-5 PM: Acoustic Open Lawn: You make the music!

5-6 PM: Vernon Valiquette & Liam Hurley

6-8 PM: The Massachusetts Walking Tour featuring local guest artists

PULASKI PARK

morning: Northampton Community Music Center Band

afternoon: AEIOUkes

early evening: Fiddle Orchestra of Western Mass.

 

 

In case of bad weather, Forbes lawn events will take place in the Coolidge Museum on the second floor of Forbes Library.

Free parking is available after 6 PM in the library lot and after 5 PM at the Smith College parking garage, in the white spaces only.
