In this two day workshop participants will learn how make a film on 16mm completely by themselves.
We will be covering many steps that are generally taken by a lab and learning to do it on a small budget. On day 1 we will shoot on a Bolex 16mm camera with 50’ of black and white negative film. We will also be hand processing the camera negative roll.
On day 2 participants will learn to make a positive, projection ready print of their 16mm film using the Bolex as a contact printer. In two days we will essentially be creating a finished film without relying on a lab.
This workshop comes with all necessary equipment including a downloadable HD transfer of the finished product.
The workshop takes place at Northampton Community Television on Saturday September 30th and Sunday October 1st, Noon – 6:00 PM
Workshop fee is $70. Limited to 6 participants. Register here.
