The on-going Group Sing at the Senior Center, a monthly sing-along that has been going regularly for over 4 years, is free and open to the public. For singers and non-singers alike, the Group Sing is designed for the “over 50” crowd, but all ages are welcome. The Group Sing generally meets the first Wednesday of each month.
The A-E-I-O-Ukes is an ensemble of 18 ukulele players who get together a couple of times a month to sing and strum popular tunes, led by Downtown Sounds owner Joe Blumenthal. It’s 2 hours of singing, just for the enjoyment of singing with others. Lyric sheets for the songs sung that night are handed out at the beginning of the evening, and those who are on the Group Sing email list receive the lyrics in advance.
