During her career as a performer and recording artist, Samirah Evans has become known for her dynamic and soulful approach to music, especially in the jazz and blues genres. Her musical style is heavily influenced by the New Orleans sound where she was one of the city’s most popular and in-demand singers for nearly 20 years.

Ron Freshley hosts “Fresh Sounds” on Valley Free Radio WXOJ-LP Northampton on Tuesdays from 11am-1pm. “Fresh Sounds” features older jazz, newer jazz, & so-called jazz from the 1920’s until the present. Featuring on-air interviews with Jazz musicians and live local music.

The Northampton Arts Council, in its fourth year of presenting concerts in the Park, continues a long-held musical tradition that dates back to the 1970s. Join us and many of your friends and neighbors for live music in our beautifully renovated Park in the heart of Downtown Northampton.
This summer, we will present five live concerts and two evenings of Salsa Dancing.
All events will take place in Pulaski Park and admission is free for all!
