With a dual background in ceramics and architecture, Andrew Quient keeps his feet in both worlds.
As a potter he creates wheel-thrown vessels, many with complex geometric decoration, inspired by his architectural training. As an architectural draftsman he is working on a series of renderings, in pencil, ink and watercolor, of notable Beaux-Arts buildings in New England. Currently he is applying his skills to creating architectural form in clay.
In this exhibit he will also include the series of renderings he recently completed in Italy.
