CREATIVE MOVEMENT (ages 5-7): Wiggle, jiggle, giggle to the beat of your own drum! Jumping, twirling, singing, crawling, drawing and dreaming are encouraged! This class is designed to give students the chance to explore their own movement patterns and creativity through structured improvisation games and movement-based tasks. We will seek inspiration through imagination and movement exploration. Students will be given a safe place to be KIDS, while sparking the joy of movement and creativity that lives in all of us.
*This class will culminate in an end of session performance.
Instructor: Sofia Engelman

YOUTH DANCE TECHNIQUES (ages 8-12): This class in intended to give interested movers a more in-depth exploration of current dance techniques utilizing an open-minded and highly process-oriented approach. This class will explore movement patterning, age-appropriate somatic inquiry, improvisation while building a deeper sense of body awareness while moving through space. We will create, learn dances, make dances, move, sweat, and mostly, have FUN!

CREATIVE PROCESS // DANCE MAKING (ages 8-12): This class is meant to inspire kids to fearlessly dive into the process of dance making and performing! We will work to discover one’s own creative voice, as both a maker and performer. We will play with choreographic and devising processes to spur choice-making, playfulness, collaboration and bravery. Each student will be encouraged to access their performance state of mind in order to ignite their individual on-stage MAGIC. This class is for all levels of experience.
*This class will culminate in an end of session performance.
Instructor: Molly Fletcher-Lynch

HIP HOP (ages 8-12): This class is suitable for all students and levels. Instruction will focus on the fundamentals of all styles of hip hop dance, including popping, locking, tutting, breaking, krumping, animation, commercial-style choreography, and freestyle. Bring your sneakers (no black soles), get in the studio, and just MOVE.
*This class will culminate in an end of session performance.
Instructor: Nate Odell

TEEN/ADULT CONTEMPORARY TECHNIQUE (ages 13+): This morning technique class is an intermediate level class for teens and adults. This will be a time to breath, ground, groove, and invert. There will be space for getting lost in somatic places, some release technique, and time for task-based, narrow focused work. We will sweat, we will investigate pelvic half differentiation and feats of strength. We will challenge how we approach dance class and how we see each other. Some yawning, some good jams.
